Meet the Author
Chef Jim Ruch
Jim Ruch is a freelance private chef living in North Carolina.
Having worked on yachts for over twenty years, traveling the Caribbean, Bahamas and Panama Canal, he’s also worked the coastlines of Spain, France, Italy, Greece, and Turkey. Ruch holds degrees from The New York Restaurant School, Le Cordon Bleu, The Royal Thai Culinary Institute, La Cucina al Foccolare Tuscany and The Tokyo Sushi Academy. Awarded at the Chef de Concours Mega Yacht Competition in Monaco, he’s also performed his music for many distinguished guests. Jim began writing music, poetry, and prose in his early teens.
Chef Chronicle blends three of his passions — cooking, writing, and history — to produce a richly woven story made all the more readable for its accurate portrayal of the arts.
